This Thing is about customizing your homepage with your own widgets or gadgets.
Google Calendar is incredibly easy to use. There is no excuse for forgetting with this! I put it on my desk top and days with activities are higlighted. You can take notes, list events, and even share your calendar with others.
My homepage currently has my calendar, the moonphase, and time widgets.
Ta-da lists: Lets you create all kinds of to-do lists.
Backpack: http://www.backpackit.com/ An intranet tool that rolls many office functions into one and allows you to share. For example, you can keep your to-do list here, along with your calendar and reminders. You can create pages about whatever you like, for example, a client meeting or good hotels in a certain city. You can store files and photos on the pages and drag items to whatever location. Pages can be shared with others. Can color code calendars and keep track of co-workers schedules. Reminders can be emailed or text-messaged to phone. I am most impressed by this so far.
MyStickies: Allows you to mark up webpages with yellow sticky notes. That way, you can remember why you book marked it in the first place. This would be a good tool for someone doing a research project.
File Converters: http://zamzar.com/ Looks incredibly easy. Pick file or URL you want to convert, and an email will be sent to you with the converted file. If you don't have the right software, you can try this.
